Bye Bye 2013 !!

Been a long time since I posted here..
It's the time to say a good bye to the longest year I ever had, 2013. I seem to be having a difficult time writing the end of year blog post.

Hey 2013,

We are fortunate to see you after many rumors that 2012 could be the last year the world could see and the movie 2012 added more proof to our belief. But the arrival of you proved that it's not the END OF THE WORLD, it could be END OF OUR WORLD, because 2013 is a year of change of all the ones who are of my age group.

When I look back at you, its nearly impossible for me to believe how dramatically my life has changed. Ahhh, you were a good reading year to me. You made me cry many times and the good part is that you finally made me happy down the line and you landed me in a roller coaster of happiness.

Your months of July and August gave me courage to confess many things and those confessions made me cry. After all, How can I start a blame game with you when I was the only reason behind those empty days. You put me on the right path, making me learn from my mistakes and making me learn how to love, respect and laugh.

You are one of the happiest years in my life. This is the year I visited many new places that I hadn't visited before and also met many new people. This is the year which I had spent most of my time in my home and home town.

My best friends are the ones who give me reasons to smile everyday when I feel myself lost in someones thoughts. They are full of love and positive energy and I feel them as contagious sometimes. I wish they will be with me through out and I don't want it to be remained as just a wish.

I know that it is not you which was good or bad, it depends on the instances and experiences one had in a year that makes him/her feel it as a good or bad year. It's human psychology to term you good or bad. But, I don't mind being a human being today.

I have to say that I'm happy to see 2013 go. You were a really tough one. So bye bye 2013 !!

I'm grateful for all I have in my life. The dearest family, the bestet friends, Experiences that make and shape, the blogging fun and the awesome reads.. !! thanks to myself..

Cheers to the new year. !!

Being with Baljeet > Anything !!

Life sometimes gives you the reasons to smile and be happy..

From the early childhood I have been taught that India is a Unified though diversified nation, I am experiencing it now. My friends are from different parts of the country .

I love bangalore, not because of its malls and its cool weather, but because of the more coolest friends I got here.

I never found myself laughing in the past few months like I have been laughing now and the person behind the laughter are my lovely friends Baljeet, Bijendra, Ayushi, Golda, Bhavesh, Deepshika. .

Not everyone is lucky to have such a person who makes us happy and makes our life livable and I feel lucky to have one now..

He is my Santa Claus.

Dear Baljeet Singh,

The way you communicate with others..
The way you care for others and yourself..
The way you respect others and respect yourself..
The way you make me smile my stomach out..
The way you leave your mark where ever you go..
The way you lead us from the front..
The way you influence others in a +ve way..
The way you utter the word "We had fun that day ? "
are the few things that made me write all this here.

The more I move with you, the more I feel happy and sometimes I feel secured too :):):). I will try to adapt atleast one of the qualities you have.

I wish we will be in touch with each other and have fun all the time.. !!

P. S : Baljeet Singh is King !!

First Day at Bang-A-Lore !!

I never expected this.. Writing a review on a hotel and to be precise "a suite"  ^-^ ..

The day started with a long walk to one of my friends' room in Marthahalli as my check-in time to the hotel is scheduled to 1 P.M ..

Had a good time there with my amigos.. Had breakfast which was too spicy and I liked it a lot and thought it as a good omen and auspicious too ..

At almost 1.30 P.M I checked in to the Sherwood suites which is provided by Accenture as accommodation and I would say it a classy one. I love the environment here. They say once is not enough to know the true color of a person or a place. But, this 6 hour stay at the this suite, the moment i checked in, I already knew that I'm gonna have a blasting stay.

It is a very classy place to live and it was rich too. I have never been into a hotel whose rating is beyond 3 stars and I was awestruck and overwhelmed seeing the facilities they have provided here. As I am a from a small town in Andhra Pradesh and haven't been in such place yet, there is a point in being emotional.

The resort is pretty fabulous and the service throughout is impeccable. The staff are so friendly and nice that you never feel uncomfortable. It sounded cool than it actually is - sure, the suite was very big and has a kitchen too. But, who makes his own dinner when staying in such a place and that too in one of the coolest cities in India.

And to complete the luxury, We are having moments of lull in the bedroom with high speed internet access which helped me to blog without any kinda sufferings :):):). What I liked more is the fast and reliable connection to the outside world while enjoying the amenities inside. I think, there is a lot to explore here yet. I will be exploring from the next day.

fully furnished

Lovely Kitchen

We dine here !!

The Pool

City as seen from balcony

Never before in my life I lived in such a classy and rich environment and I am grateful to Accenture for giving me such a happy environment to start with !! I'm glad that this came sooner than I expected  !!

Lessons Never Learnt !!

I got these colorful and thought provoking mails in my inbox today. I Couldn't resist myself from sharing the mails here, for goodness must be spread and must be shared. I remember the same stories were told long back during my college days by a HR manager of TCS. As with the most homo sapiens,  I have never learnt the lessons .

family of tortoise STORY

A family of tortoise went on a picnic. They packed food and set out to a place they had selected behind the hills. When they reached the spot, they unpacked their picnic basket. They realized they had forgotten to bring salt. Food without salt is tasteless. They had a conference to decide who should go back and get salt. After a lot of discussion, the youngest tortoise was chosen, as he was faster than the others. The youngest objected on the ground that before he could come back the others might eat the snacks. But they assured him they would wait for him to come back with salt.

Six months passed, but the youngest tortoise did not turn up. So the rest of the family decided to open the basket and eat the snacks. When they opened the snack basket, the little tortoise jumped out of the bushes and screamed, "Look, I knew you would not wait till I came back. For six months I have been hiding in these bushes to make sure you would not eat without me. Now my suspicion has been confirmed, and I am not going to get the salt."

Some of us are exactly like our suspicious tortoise: we waste our own time waiting for people to live up to our expectations. Instead of doing the right thing ourselves, we wait for others to act in ways we expect them to. We waste our time waiting for others to live according to our expectations.

Story of a Starfish

An elderly man was taking a stroll on the beach one morning. Ruthless tidal waves of the night before had pushed out many creatures to the beach, notably, the starfish. There were thousands of starfish lying on the beach, not all were dead. He felt sorry for the state of affairs but continued with his walk, for, there was nothing he could do about it, he felt.

A few meters away, he saw another man, younger, more a teenager, childlike, bending down, picking something and throwing it in the ocean.

"What are you doing?" he asked, somewhat amused.

"Oh, I'm saving these starfish. Sun's gonna be up soon and they'll die as the waves are receding."

The old man chuckled and said, "There's miles and miles of beach, it's littered with tens of thousands of dying starfish. Your saving a handful won't make any difference."

The young one reached out to another starfish, picked it, tossed it back in the sea, and spoke, "It made a difference to that one!"

Undoubtedly these stories made my life beautiful throughout !!

ABC of Life !!

Back to blog again !!

With pen in hand, pad on table
trying to scribble, which i'm unable !!

Not because I have much time to spare, but have feelings that need to be vented out. This is the only place in the world where all my sufferings can be converted into a good prose ( may be not ). To vent out the feelings that are being ripped into shreds .. No big deal !!

The last few months have been the lowest I have ever reached in my life and the most painful too. And yes, shit happens to us all and life always sucks.

Will I let this eternal pain kill me??
Or will I accept like most of us do and live life with suffering forever ??

How can I escape from all the sufferings?? Is there any kind of acupressure to heal the damage??
Should I always be surrounded with people other than myself ?
Should I involve in incessant partying ??
Should I lie in a couch grabbing a book and a cup of tea ??

I can give any damn to get out of this hell.
Sometimes it feels weird when we realize we have spent so much time with people who are no longer connected to us. They leave just a void in us and let us into a blackhole.

There comes a time in our lives when we can't help but ask ourselves whether to "Stay back or Move on"

If you wanna stay back, you will.
If you wanna Move on, you will.
You will understand why? only after several years when you sit under a big tree (this is the way old , big tree can be replaced by a large cafeteria)  and try to connect all the dots of your life.. !!!

Many of my friends have an idea that heart is just a pumping organ and has nothing to do with the feelings. But, I would deny it completely.

Uptil now, I have not given any thought of ending the life and now, I see there is no life to end !!
The only inhibiting factor in our progress in life is an inability to let go and so I'm unable.

Well, you can see all the myriad of negative thoughts piling up now and the good omen is that i'm aware that these are negative.

Here goes the positive ones..

The other day, I had a good discussion with a lovely friend from school days about these sufferings. Had I been reluctant to discuss the things i wouldn't have get the master sentence "YEH PAL BEETH JAAYEGA"- This moment will pass away !! referring to the story of akbar and birbal.

This is the only sentence that can make a rich man cry and a poor man laugh.. !!

After all, when the game is over, the king and the pan go back to same boxes !!

Thanks for stopping by and I really appreciate your patience to read all these bakwaas baatein :):):)

Ditch all your Anu Aunties !!

Hai !! It has been a long time since i have posted here. Low, Lost, Sick, worthless, horrible ! These are the adjectives which describes my state of mind for the last two months. It was during the same period, I was upon a book on entrepreneurship which triggered an Idea of : how it feels like to be a successful entrepreneur?. Here is the reason for such a good omen..

“How I braved anu aunty and cofounded a million dollar company” is a novel written by varun agarwal. The plot is all about the author’s journey from nobody to a young entrepreneur, whom should be taken as an inspiration by many.

This is the story of a typical Indian who wanted to be an entrepreneur but was cornered by Anu Aunty (anu aunty is the friend of author’s mother). We see many anu aunties in our life, who put us down and throws thorns in our path of development at every level of our lives.

This is the story of varun agarwal who stood as a great entrepreneur without an MBA.  He redefined the word “entrepreneur ship” in india. This book gives us an insight view of how to handle pressure, how to deal with various people.  Had he been reluctant to start his own company, he would have been nobody now.
Alma Mater (http://www.almamaterstore.in/) is a company founded by the author, where one can get their college merchandize T-Shirts, Sweat shirts and all. This is a million dollar company now and has many fans in social networking sites.

This is a very light book and the author used a pellucid language which can be understood even by a kid. If you have liked the books of chetan bhagat and ravinder singh, this book is definitely for you. It is written in a very captivating manner and can be completed in a single stretch. It can change the perspective of an individual towards entrepreneur ship and can inspire the ones who have a goal to become a good entrepreneur.

The author says “If you want to be a carpenter, be a carpenter. Be what you want because at the end of the day you should not end up living somebody else’s life”. This is absolutely true. So grab the book today, get it finished in a single stretch. You feel blissful reading this inspirational story and you will definitely get inspired.

P. S : I am on cloud 9 knowing that this review was published in The Readers Corner !! It is more than life for writers to get their articles published, and this is the time I should work really hard to go on with the work. Thank you for stopping by .. see you soon!!

Arunima Sinha - The Inspirer !!

Recently, I happened to be in the National Capital for State Level Youth Convention which was well organized by Rama Krishna Mission on the eve of Swami Vivekananda's 150th Birth Anniversary. The convention was held in Rama Krishna Math in New Delhi.

Before going to the convention, I did a good homework to know at least some of the speakers at the convention in which Arunima Sinha was also one of the speakers.

When I was having breakfast on the first day, there was a girl sitting beside me with her brother. I started the conversation as I often can't resist myself from talking to a stranger beside me.

Me : Hai, where are you from?

She : Uttar Pradesh, and you?

Me : I'm form Andhra Pradesh

bla bla bla...

What made me laugh is that we were enthused to know each other's names only at the end of the conversation and I was taken to awe that she was Arunima Sinha. I didn't recognize her for the obvious reason of not seeing her anywhere before.

Here comes her entire story, which helps us inspire our self and boosts up our self confidence.

Arunima Sinha was a National Volley Ball player. When she was traveling in a train to attend an interview at CISF in April 2011, a few rowdies boarded the same compartment of the train in which she was traveling. She was thrown out of the moving train by them for resisting them snatching her gold chain.

A train from the opposite direction ran over one of her legs. 49 trains had passed over her leg until someone noticed her. She was rushed to the hospital with serious leg and pelvic injuries and the struggle for life has begun. However, she managed to survive with a leg amputated.

The sad part of the story was according to the police, she was either attempting suicide or met with an accident while crossing the railway track. She claimed in the court that the police were telling lies. Such is the system we have !!

On the survival bed in AIIMS, She announced her goal of climbing Mt. Everest. Though government of India  had provided her job assurance, Though many ridiculed her, she was just silent and was determined to show her vengeance in her actions. That was the time she had gone through Swami Vivekanada's complete works which inspired her to the core.

Her brother had quit the job and encouraged her to reach her goal. she had made this idea of climbing Mt. Everest as her only mission in her life and lived totally to fulfill it. She excelled in the basic mountaineering course from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi, with a plastic leg.

After undergoing many hardships, she fulfilled her dream of conquering Mt. Everest on May 31st 2013 and she is world's first woman amputee to conquer Mt. Everest. She proudly hoisted our National Flag and placed a photo of Swami Vivekananda on the summit of Mt. Everest. Now she was inspiring thousands of youth, going through out the country.

I was shocked when such a lady who was so successful in her life, sat beside me during her breakfast. There was no sign of gloat on her face and was so down to earth that she was present in every session and listened carefully to all the speakers in the convention. When I asked for a photograph with her, she immediately accepted my request and the result is here. I find an ultimate bliss on her charming face which increased my confidence many folds.

It was an eye and ear feast to listen to her when she was addressing a huge gathering of youth. I felt blessed listening to her and I owe a lot to Rama Krishna Mission for organizing such a magnificent event. My eyes were moist when listening to her and I am running out of words when describing how I felt. She need all of us to learn from our faults and criticisms.

She is the live example depicting that human power is endless.

Link to Arunima Sinha's speech at the convention - click here . Listen to this to know about her in her own words. I am sure that this will reach to your hearts.

After her speech none got the opportunity to have a photograph with her. I felt blessed to be with her. :):)

My India !!

This is in response to TOUCH Thursdays No.2. You can know about it here

The prompt : Mark is one of the characters in the latest preeti's book. He is from UK. He has not been to India yet, but plans to visit. He has lived in UK, all his life. If you had to tell Mark about India, what would you tell him?

Dear Mark,

I like to congratulate you for you have got a life-changing idea of visiting India, which is the one of the oldest living cultures in the world. You can really have the time of your life on your trip to India and I'm sure you will hesitate to leave.

There will not be any room for boredom and loneliness for you as we are already over-populated. In Indian hospitality, the guest is seen as divine and treated with great love. We welcome you with a good smile on our cheeks.

To the best of my knowledge, India is the only country where you can see a Church, a Mosque and a Temple in a single street and this depicts the brotherhood of Indians.

No wonder people from all over the world, especially the west, come to India in search of spirituality. Indeed, it is only one of the many interesting aspects you find in India.

I came to know that you are interested in Indian girls. The girls here used to be gorgeous with the sign of tradition and culture dancing over their faces, but, they are all being carried away by your western culture.

In India, people don't hesitate to bow down their heads. This is a land of forgiveness.

We are the ones who invented Chess. The 'Place Value System and Decimal System' were developed here in 100 B.C. The world's first University was established in Takshila in 700 B.C. Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus were originated in India. India is the knowledge hub of the world.

Five aspects of life India teaches one to pay homage everyday are

  • Knowledge.
  • Nature.
  • Our Forefathers
  • All other living things
  • All Human beings

The amazing thing you should know is that in Indian culture, the Mother is revered above everything else. This is the reason all the Indians say "Bharat Maata ki jai" (Victory for Mother India). You cannot hear any Indian say "Bhaarat Pita ki Jai" (Victory for father India), the sole reason being is, the mother is held in the highest esteem as a picture of grace.

You can find different religions, castes and sub-castes across India. Though people across the country uses different languages, they speak with heart. Here, we even have a good reservation system, which has been lowering the quality output in any field.

India, land where a great Hindu monk "Swami Vivekananda" lived is rich in heritage and culture. "If India doesn't exist in world, all the spirituality and goodness becomes extinct", said Swami Vivekananda. "If you want to know India, read Swami Vivekananda", said Rabindranath Tagore. I suggest you to read the complete works of Swami Vivekananda before you leave for India.

I am ready with a good plan to visit every corner of India with you. You will definitely find the ultimate bliss in this country. To explore my own country is in my Wish-list

If there is one place on the earth where all the dreams of living men have found, it is India!

With Love,
Madhav.

The One U Cannot Have ( TOUCH )

This morning welcomed me with a blog of Preeti Shenoy , my one of the favorite writers. I love to read her writings, be it novels or blog posts. My first bookish encounter with her was in the summer of 2012 when I grabbed the book "Life Is What You Make It" and was done with it in a single stretch.

The same happened with the remaining books "34 Bubblegums and Candies", "Tea For Two and A Piece Of Cake", "The Secret Wishlist".

Here is my Wish-list .

She came up with a writing prompt as a part of a contest with fun, TOUCH (The One U Cannot Have), Preeti's upcoming novel. I couldn't resist myself from participating in the contest.

The first prompt THURSDAY no.1 is  :

If I could have anyone I choose as my 'forever friend'/'life partner' , I would choose the one who

  • Fights with me for silly things and a single sorry can make it all clear after many hours of quarrel.
  • Listens to me with patience and also make me listen to her.
  • Pats me on my shoulder for my success ( whenever I think I'm successful )
  • Can wipe my tears and make me sleep on her lap whenever I feel low.
  • Makes me laugh even in a catastrophe by cracking silly jokes.
  • Can laugh with me till our stomach bursts out.
  • Can talk to me with eyes.
  • Can take care of her's as well as my parents.

She is the best in making me smile. Indeed, I enjoy her company. We have shared many sorrows and happy moments. We had many cloud 9 moments together.

Deep inside, I care for her
I need her as my friend forever.   (whoa!! It rhymed )

My world spins faster with her.
I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow.

Happy Birthday brotheruu !!

Hai  !!

Do you feel that you have the best sibling anyone can ever have?

If yes, hurray!! welcome to the clan of the most happiest beings.

Today my super cute brother turns a rotten old age of 26. I wish I could be there (He lives in Bangalore) to celebrate with him. I never gifted him on any occasion. Today, I dedicate this blog post for him, for I believe words are stronger than many other things in the world.

I'm amongst those lucky people who have a sibling so perfect, that i can spend my life trying to be as good as him, and the pursuit even if not successful will refine me as a person.

Dear Lalith,

No one could make our great grandma laugh like you do. You were her favorite all the time. There are times that I envied you about this.
  • The way you care for all our family members, with your unique, steady, peaceful but powerful love.
  • Your method of caring.
  • Your consistent quest for knowledge.
  • The way you advise me regarding my career.

are perhaps the things i love the most in you.

I still long for the day we fought like crazy for just a pillow. When we were younger, we fought, drove each other crazy for simple things ( I know that those were bigger things then ) and I wish we fight a lot more from now on.

When I was going through our childhood albums, I found many photos of just you. May be the photographer liked your cute cheeks then. These were the snaps taken on 14th of Jan 1996.

Happy birthday my brother. You are the very first friend life gave me. Thank you for sharing a mother and father and a beautiful childhood with me and also I thank you for sharing your credit card details too :):):)

Sorry for complaining dad about you, whenever you went out for playing gully cricket without informing him.

Sorry for jumping on the carrom board when you were playing it with our cousins without me.

I wish nothing but happiness for you and blessings from joy, peace, success, long life, good health.

Today is your birthday and I want to capture the situation to tell my small world of people, about how lucky I am to have specifically you, as my brother and dear friend. Happy birthday !

I am sure you will enjoy this birthday and we (mom & dad) wanted to let you know that you will be in our thoughts beyond measure.

Mera Dil Titli Sa - A Valuable Gift

It has been a long long time since i have sat down to blog. Those who are reading this, take my hug :):):)

It is very often that we listen to our favorite song and we churn the lyrics of it till we get it by heart. The same happened with me. But, it is a poem which was gifted to me by my darling friend Vivek long time back. Though I don't read it daily, i read it very often that i got it by heart. (Please don't ask me now :)). I am grateful to him for gifting me such a beautiful one.

Indeed, I have written the poem on my academic note books of B.Tech so that I would read it in every boring class except in my favorite madam's class for the more obvious reasons.

The title of the poem is "IF" which was written by Rudyard Kipling. Some stanzas( marked red in poem) of the poem are well noted to Telugu movie geeks, for those were used in the movie Happy days which was directed by Sekhar Kammula

IF you can keep your head when all about you

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

This is, without a doubt, my beloved poem. This contains a multitude of characteristics deemed essential to an ideal man. In particular a man must be humble, rational, truthful, dependable, patient and preserving. He must continue to have faith in himself when others doubt him. He must deal with highest and lowest echelons of this society.

You can find the lyrics here too..

P.S: Go,  Get a microscope, for we really need it to analyse the poem line to line.

Food For Thought - Heartless Humans !

Sometimes, I come across such awesome articles that it is worth sharing with all my friends. Though i mail them to some of my selected friends, this time i thought of sharing it on my blog, for i have a fear that they remain unacknowledged like many previous share worthy mails.

Here is one of those share worthy article i came across in a local Sunday magazine ( Andhra Prabha) .

This is the conversation that went between members of a family of some real beings with heart.

"The children are suffering from the last two days. Go get some food for them. I cannot see them suffering" Mother dog barked on her husband dog.

"I am trying dear, morning to evening I have been on the same job of getting something for the children to eat, Even i cannot see the family going hungry each day"

"Why don't you try near any of the KFC garbage dump yards?, May be you can find some leftovers there"

"Absolutely out of the point it is. I don't go there, that place is used by the entire colony as a garbage dump and that place is stinking and I won't go there"

"Please, this one time dear" , She said with moist eyes.

"Fine, I will go there for this last time", He hurried towards a garbage dump near the end of their road

It was cloudy and there is sight of the sun. She has been waiting for him to return with something to feed their children. She has been waiting impatiently.

Hours passed by and she was worried. She kept staring on the road for her hubby to come.

Finally, she saw him running with a loaf of meet in his mouth. Trying to catch his breath, he laid down. "What is this thing? ", She asked.

"This is a new born human girl child", He answered with his eyes wide opened. "Someone who doesn't want a girl child dumped her in the garbage"

"How heartless and ruthless these human beings are!! Thank god, we don't discriminate between our children" She said licking her closest child.

That puppy, seeing the food waged its tail in happiness, for they got food for survival.

I started reading the whole article thinking it was just an anecdote. But, it left me thoughtful. I let my tears cleanse my heart, but the ache remained. I had been euphoric to write this post for a very long time, but never found a moment to bring out such emotions turning into words.

16000 Wives, yet a Brahmachari

Have you ever experienced the joy of knowing the unknown. Today i have experienced such a joy.  Here it goes...

When i was browsing in the internet, i got the answer for the most confronted question " What kind of God is your God who had so many wives?". I used to feel a lot for i couldn't answer such a question. I used to wonder whether such a thing can ever be justified. I have never asked any of my elders for it may look weird for most of them.

We treat our gods as role models and get inspired by the acts they did. We used to set them as examples for other human beings. What if a person, having no knowledge of mythology, be asked a question like this?. He/she will go numb to this question for sure. So it is the high time for the followers of Hinduism to know the fact about the God who had 16000 wives.

Lord Krishna may have 16000 wives, but he is an eternal Brahmachari ( Celebacy ). He declared in this in the battle field of Kurukshetra. I don't know why people hide or ignore this sentence which was uttered by the Lord himself.

When Dronacharya's son Ashwaddama released an arrow to kill all the Pandava children, Lord Sri Krishna vowed to save the unborn child in Abhimanyu's wife womb. Sri Krishna declared "If there is any truth in the fact that i am an Akhanda Brahmachari may the unborn child be saved from the wrath of Ashwaddama".
The child was indeed saved, who grew up to be the king Parikshit.

Now that i know the truth, I no longer stay numb when asked the question of Lord Krishna having many wives. I feel pity on myself for not knowing this till now.  Here I share more insights about this topic  http://www.celextel.org/storiesandanecdotes/krishnanityabrahmachari.html

Little Boy & Fat Man

As you see the title, you may think that i'm going to criticize some one on their size. No, i'm not that bad. (though i call my best buddy, "motu"). After all, "little boy" & "Fat man" are the names of the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki by USA, (the so called super developed nation now).

This is the day, the United nations had dropped the two mega bombs during the final stage of world war II. Yes, today is the 68th anniversary of Hiroshima bombing and the anniversary of Nagasaki bombing is on its go on Aug 9th. These two events were the only events where nuclear weapons were used till date. From the times immemorial, this was the incident that United Nations should still regret on.

The 70th anniversary of Japan's attack on pearl harbor will take place in 25 months. Sometimes, i think that the number of psychos living at that time may easily outnumber the ones living now. The attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not the only incidents to infer this, there are many more incidents where Japan attacked Nanking, a place in china where 20 lakh civilians were killed.

May be you are aware of all the facts, but some of you may not know about this great man who made my day. He is Tsutomu Yamaguchi, the only survivor of the two bombing events, who died recently in 2010. The troubling times in which we are living today may lead us to imagine that we are the only ones who experience sufferings. But, it is not the way of perception.

Having faced and survived from the bombing attack (he was just 2 km away from the epicenter of the blast) in Hiroshima ("Little boy"), this hibakusha ran forward to meet his wife and children who were in an unfortunate town called Nagasaki, which was again hit by "fat man". But to all our wonder, he was survived in this one too and his battle with death continued from that incident. Read this full article to know more.

While reading this, a myriad of thoughts were flowing in my mind. Living in despair is a great thing that one can do. Against all the odds, he survived from death. Rest In Peace world.

What A Friend Is For?

Friends are the stupid beings, without whom our life would be a great mistake. Many of my close friends believe that i don't even know the value of friendship..  I do accept this fact and I beg you to make me know the value of it..

A friend is one who

  • Crash at our home with a cake on our every birthday, so that they can do more than eat them

  • Wish you the best, a million times, before you put yourself to a real test in this world of cruelty.

  • Expect you to listen to them even when you are at your worst situation.

  • Gives you wake up calls in the middle of the night when you have a lot to study and end up reading nothing.

  • Who gives you a crash course on a subject when they have an ocean to complete and a very little time.

  • Scolds you for silly reasons and think that it is their right.

  • Informs you before anyone else about their latest buy.

  • Who asks you treat for every occasion. ( Be it good or bad). If you loose your wallet some where.. they come shouting... PARTYYYYYYYY.

  • Gives you advice, free and unlimited... ( sometimes unnecessary ones too)

  • Silently says "miss you", every now and then.

and the list continues..

We can't list all the weird things our friends do most of the times, yet our unconditional love for them never fades.

There were times I was rude, times I was demanding and times I did sarcasm. I have had reasons, most of the times. I have never intended to hurt any one. Despite knowing all my faults, you stood by me. The beauty doesn't lie in perfection, but because you accepted it for all its imperfections

I hope that our friendship continues to remain the same way, forever and ever. I will do everything I can to ensure that it remains indelible. :):):)

PS: Dedicated to every single one of my close friends...

Are You Rejected??

No, I am not talking about the rejection in an interview or anything professional. The plot i am going to discuss is "Rejection in love". Are you rejected by your darling in your small life??.. Ohh!! congratulations!! you have experienced that ultimate pain which ever exist and welcome to the clan of "got rejected" ones.

Have this stamp on your hands and you will be honored. ( at least i will honor you for you have destined to bear all the pain of rejection and you are succesful :):):):) )

I often come across many friends of mine who fell in love and simply gets rejected. The word "simply" is only for the outsiders. The one who is actually experiencing it dies with pain.

Many people still believe that "heart breaking" is just an idiom and a metaphor which exists only with characters in our Indian movies.

When your heart breaks, you realize that this not just a metaphor. It causes an actual physical pain. Not just your chest hurts, wait for it, there will be a hollow feeling in your stomach, severe head aches because of all the weeping and the list goes on. The sense of an impending doom gives you sleepless nights.

And to my wonder the pain process was proved technically too. Scientists found that intense rejection activated many of the same brain areas that were active when people felt physical pain. So, rejection really does share a lot in common with physical pain. Grieving is important as it provokes us to cry out to god, thereby, to open ourselves to healing.

The sad thing in rejection is many youth find this particular period as a burden and commit suicide. Unhealthy responses to the pain of rejection inhibit a life of joy, freedom and peace. But responding in a healthy manner, by honestly grieving and crying to god, can strengthen our character. Time is the most powerful healer for a lovelorn.

Blaming the one, from whom you got rejected is the stupidity well defined. After all they have the right to reject. You are not a dictator to make their feelings reciprocated on you..

PS: After reading this, please don't have a doubt whether i have the stamp of "rejection".. :):). I wrote this after seeing many of my friend's agonies..
