Little Boy & Fat Man

As you see the title, you may think that i'm going to criticize some one on their size. No, i'm not that bad. (though i call my best buddy, "motu"). After all, "little boy" & "Fat man" are the names of the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki by USA, (the so called super developed nation now).

This is the day, the United nations had dropped the two mega bombs during the final stage of world war II. Yes, today is the 68th anniversary of Hiroshima bombing and the anniversary of Nagasaki bombing is on its go on Aug 9th. These two events were the only events where nuclear weapons were used till date. From the times immemorial, this was the incident that United Nations should still regret on.

The 70th anniversary of Japan's attack on pearl harbor will take place in 25 months. Sometimes, i think that the number of psychos living at that time may easily outnumber the ones living now. The attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not the only incidents to infer this, there are many more incidents where Japan attacked Nanking, a place in china where 20 lakh civilians were killed.

May be you are aware of all the facts, but some of you may not know about this great man who made my day. He is Tsutomu Yamaguchi, the only survivor of the two bombing events, who died recently in 2010. The troubling times in which we are living today may lead us to imagine that we are the only ones who experience sufferings. But, it is not the way of perception.

Having faced and survived from the bombing attack (he was just 2 km away from the epicenter of the blast) in Hiroshima ("Little boy"), this hibakusha ran forward to meet his wife and children who were in an unfortunate town called Nagasaki, which was again hit by "fat man". But to all our wonder, he was survived in this one too and his battle with death continued from that incident. Read this full article to know more.

While reading this, a myriad of thoughts were flowing in my mind. Living in despair is a great thing that one can do. Against all the odds, he survived from death. Rest In Peace world.
